Scott Blake - Bar Code Art

For this portrait titled EAN 13/Jane Fonda/Workout Videos I used the bar codes from Jane Fonda's workout tapes to create an image of the exercise guru. "EAN 13" stands for European Article Numbering and is a specific type of bar code that is used internationally to catalog videos. I appropriated the face image from Viking Phonex.com (an online news source), and collected the bar code numbers from Barnes and Noble.com.
